Work to prepare for construction of the New Tyne Crossing will begin on 22nd April 2008
The first activity on site will involve securing the site and putting up fencing. Within the site boundary, the land will be prepared for construction activities. This will include levelling areas that will be used for equipment and storage, and preparing haul roads. Construction routes into the site will also be established and clear signage put in place to ensure that construction traffic does not create a nuisance to local people.
